Enjoying a Mini-moon

Jan14

Mini-moons are becoming more and more popular all around the world, especially in Ireland, apparently!

With this recessions showing no signs of ending just yet, who can blame them?

My husband and I will have two mini-moons. We were married in a small civil ceremony a year ago January, and took a short trip to Laughlin. Then this summer we're having the big church wedding, and due to issues of taking so much time off work, as well as money, we're doing Catalina. I must admit that years ago I would have been really disappointed not to take an exotic overseas (more than just an hour) honeymoon, but then at some point you realize life isn't always what you expect it to be. In our case though, at least we had two mini-moons!

I like your comment and I agree 100 % with you. The love for one to each other is important when you star a new life.

my fiance and i are getting married in July and live in up state NY. At first we had hoped for a Big overseas honey moon but as the coast of the wedding continue to mount it looks like we will be staying in the states and with-in driving distance.
* Does any one have any suggestions for an adventurous east coast honey moon (on a budget)?

Don't know how East this (Canadian Girl here) but we got engaged in Cape Cod and I honestly had the time of my life. You could rent a mini beach house or stay at a bed and breakfast and enjoy the best Lobster this side of Nova Scotia. If you plan to go let me know and I can fill you in on some of the hot spots and the romantic points! Good luck

Good thought about avoiding the inlaws..I will take a look at a map and see what speaks to me in the East...I have travelled the world for business and for leisure so chances are I have been to where ever you might end up. Eye-wink Good luck finding your dream mini moon!

Michelle -- how about popping over the border to Canada? Everyplace I've been in Quebec has been lovely and romantic, and Niagara-on-the-Lake is supposed to be the less-touristy version of Niagara (I've not been there, but I've heard good things). Either way, you can usually find good deals on B&Bs.

But for destination, choose with care. in all the possible top honeymoon destinations in the world Hawaii should be on the list, this place is blessed with everything that's brilliant you can think of and of course, the romantic aroma is all everywhere.
