Inviting Those Who Won’t Attend

Jun25

We just posted a new article which answer the question: "Why invite someone who's not going to come anyway?"

Each person cut from the guest list will save an average of $100, so brides on a budget often try to keep their weddings on the small side.  But should that mean not inviting people who live far away, simply because you assume they won't want to travel?

Check it out!

I would invite someone who lives far away only if I want them to be in the wedding, regardless if they will finally be albe to come. There is no point to invite someone you or your fiance don't really want to invite, just out of courtesy.

You should not have to invite someone that you don't want at your wedding. That's true! This article focuses more on 'not inviting people just because you assume they can't make it,' though. Some brides don't invite people they'd love to have at their wedding, just because they live far away and don't want to pressure them to travel. We say, invite everyone you want to and leave it up to them if they can make it!
