Things were steaming up at a Coney Island Starbucks today!
New Yorker Lenny Tawil surprised Cynthia Harhari at a Starbucks drive-thru today with a wedding proposal!
Since this all happened at the city's lone drive-through-only Starbucks, the proposal called for precise timing.
Tawil, 32, waited inside the kitchen for his girlfriend to drive through at noon, pacing between bags of java beans and flavored teas.
"She comes here every day, so this is nothing different," he said, explaining why he chose this most unusual of places to pop the big question. "I'm ready."
Harari was still in her gym clothes when she unsuspectedly rolled her car toward the drive-through window. Instead of her daily foamy macchiato, the barista handed her a cup with a small jewelry box inside.
Just then, Tawil appeared, ring in hand, and his new fiancée burst into a long, joyous laugh.
