Donuts Over Wedding Cakes?

Okay, let's get one confession out of the way.... the OurWeddingDay.com team loves donuts. Give us a dozen donuts and we'll be happy campers. So you can only imagine the sheer glee we felt when we saw the adorable wedding photos of Robin and Donna. The newly married couple chose to have delicious Dee's MIni Organic Donuts rather than a traditional wedding cake.

What do you think of this move? Are you for switching things up and trying something new for your reception or are you more of a traditionalist?

While you ponder that... we'll take a chocolate glazed donut.

Really like this idea. not a big fan of cake myself. getting married soon and i think i just want a desert table

For the Grooms cake we are having donuts since that is what he likes. next to the donutes we are going to have a Homor Simpson statue since that is his favorite cartoon. We just want our wedding to be fun and about us. If things don't go perfectly that is ok cause it is about the memories and the rest of our life anyway.

OMG I am not a big wedding cake person so I am tryin to find some ideas and I like this one. What do you think about asorted desserts like donuts, cheese cake, cookies, tarts, and brownies.
