This week on Radio Romance:
Method of Modern Love by Saint Etienne
One of the premier dance-pop bands of the '90s, United Kingdom's Saint Etienne have always infused clever lyrics with self-awareness into their music. Their first three albums (Foxbase Alpha, So Tough, and Tiger Bay) earned them a huge fanbase and made them beloved by the European dance scene and US Indie Rock kids, alike. The albums that followed strayed away from their usual formula, but more recently, they've returned to their traditional style of pop music.
Method of Modern Love is a new song that comes off of their latest album, London Conversations: The Best of Saint Etienne. While they have been more focused on directing documentaries and films as of late, if this song is any indication of what Saint Etienne has in store, then we're in for a real treat.
What a beautiful and unconventional song for a wedding! I'm a Maid of Honor right now, and I will definitely be suggesting this one to the bride! This will get the guests on their feet a lot better than "Here Comes the Bride" would.
