Ty Williams, a member of the OurWeddingDay.com team, is in the midst of planning her wedding, and sharing her unique perspective with you in our new weekly feature, Tuesdays with Ty.

Ladies, Ty Williams here with some exciting news to share with you this Tuesday.  A few of you may recognize me because I'm the VP of PR and Advertising here at OurWeddingDay.com, but I look forward to getting to know many more of you as I'm proud to say I've finally joined the ranks as an OWD B2B!  That's right - I officially became an OurWeddingDay.com bride-to-be on November 26, 2008 on the 4th anniversary of dating Mr. Jon Reed when he proposed at the Park Room restaurant off Central Park.

As you may recall from December's blog post, my older sister tied the knot on November 8, 2008 and became our inspiration to "jump the broom"  after four years of an exciting courtship and friendship.  (We're pictured above as my sister's Maid of Honor and Groomsman.)  But believe it or not, if it weren't for working here I wouldn't know where to begin when it comes to planning my wedding.  So every Tuesday I'm going to blog about the newest decisions to be made or to-dos to take care of, and ask for your help in making some crucial decisions. From the dress, to the flowers, to the honeymoon... I want each of you to check in to the blog every Tuesday and give me your votes, picks and feedback for planning my dream wedding in Naples, Florida this coming November 27, 2009.

So in the meantime, check out our website and let me hear from you on the message board.  And tune in next week when I share the scoop on the proposal and get your votes on finding the perfect wedding band to compliment the engagement ring.

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding! I was recently engaged on Christmas '08 and I do have to say that I am a bit overwhelmed already. Thank goodness for this site, and I look forward to reading your blogs. I need all the help I can get!

Congratulations. I too was engaged in Nov, the day after yours actually. Nov 29, the day before my birthday and it was 2 yrs 8 months of dating for us. I will be looking forward to you keeping me on track for our pending wedding. Have fun! You two look great together. I am happy to know that long term dating has not gone out of style. So many people get married so quickly these days. You have reassure me that we too or on the right track.

I totally agree with JoyM, my fiance' and I have also been together for close to 3 years, and my personal opinion is that a lot of people rush in and end up realizing that marriage is a HUGE step. Congratulations are in order to you Joy, the 29th of November happens to be my birthday, and although I sort of expected a proposal when my bday rolled by, I was pleasantly surprised to receive it for Christmas. November 29th, 2009 is my 29th birthday, and is our set wedding date. His bday happens to be the next day, so wedding for my day, honeymoon for his! Yay!
Good luck with all of your planning to the both of you. I am so swamped in trying to do this ourselves, and 306 days seems like it is already starting to fly.
