Rachel Bilson, perhaps most well known for her role in teen drama The O.C., recently got engaged to her Canadian actor beau Hayden Christensen. The two were actually engaged back in December but the news is just now leaking to the press. The acting duo recently starred together in 2008's Jumper.
We wish the best of luck to this down-to-earth pair!
This weekend the third season of Showtime's critcally-acclaimed hit Dexter came to an end. Last week we saw Dexter "take care" of his situation with Miguel Prado, which is where most of this seasons' tension had been leading up to. Although still exciting, the season finale was much less stressful than its predecessors.
The shining moment, of course, was Dex's long-awaited marriage to Rita. Although Dex was tied up (literally) and was a little late to the wedding, that didn't stop him from giving Rita exactly what she wanted - "a completely, utterly, honest vow." Dexter's vow was one of the first times that we've seen him be so sincere, "I promise to be the very best husband and father that I can be." It was a perfect moment, completely in the style of the Dexter we've grown to love.
Things are looking good for the Morgans, but based on the drops of blood that fell from Dexter's wound onto Rita's dress, Daddy Dexter will have a whole new kind of challenge ahead of him.
Scarlett Johansson, who is usually very private, has been talking about her marriage with Ryan Reynolds to Cosmopolitan U.K.
She's calling it "a very beautiful time for me," and says "Getting married is a huge moment in anyone's life, and the few months leading up to it were a little crazy. But Ryan and I are in love, and we're enjoying evolving our relationship together. I feel that my life and my work are heading in the right direction."
And what does she say about Ryan specifically? He "has a very romantic side. We both enjoy remembering little things that made us happy - for me, that's what romance is all about. My mom is a romantic person, and I think I inherited it from her. She's very thoughtful and taught me there are many different ways you can be romantic."
We just love their old-fashioned and old-Hollywood romance! So cute!
UPDATE: Apparently Scarlett is denying that she ever discussed her marriage (she never discusses her private life), and is suing Cosmo for the fake quotes! We thought it was adorable when we thought the gushing quotes were genuine, but we love that at least there are still some celebrities who keep their private lives private!
Congratulations to country star John Rich, of the popular duo Big & Rich and host of CMT's hit show Gone Country! Last Saturday he married his long time girlfriend, Joan Bush, in Nashville.
Wedding-themed challenges on Top Chef are nothing new, but this season a little something extra was added to the mix: The contestants had to cater the bridal shower of Top Chef judge -- and Food & Wine special projects manager -- Gail Simmons.
On last night's Bart Bass-centric episode of Gossip Girl, the real-estate mogul was given the ax. The episode centered on his funeral and various characters' reactions to his passing. The most surprising reaction though, came from newcomer Cyrus Rose. He asked Eleanor Waldorf to marry him the next day! With less that a day to prepare for the wedding, little Jenny Humphrey wanted to make amends with Eleanor and offered to design an Yves Saint Laurent inspired wedding blazer for the ceremony.
Of course, insane drama ensued for the rest of of the episode up until (and directly following) the wedding night. The ceremony was small and personal, with just Gossip Girl regulars (Dorota was all glammed up!) in attendance. Even though little Jenny Humphrey's blazer was atrocious, the rest of the wedding was simple and elegant - just like Cyrus.
It's looking like Cyrus will be sticking around for at least a little while longer, which we are in total approval of. Now if only we could get rid of his annoying son, Aaron, so that Dan and Serena can finally get back together...
Check back next week when we give our thoughts on the long-awaited wedding of our favorite psycho, Dexter. Judging from the preview below it will definitely be killer.
Check out this article about "dealing with your in-laws" over at The Huffington Post. On the main page the title is Rule #1 For Dealing with Your In-Laws, but when you click on it the actual title is Rule #1 For Dealing with Nasty People (Particularly In-Laws)!!!
Oh yeah, and it's accompanied by a still from Monster In Law. Subtle.
What's with the anti-in-law sentements. We love ours. Really! We do!
The Vitamin String Quartet is a Los Angeles based music group who specialize in taking modern songs, turning them into instrumentals, and spicing them up with a classical vibe. It's definitely a testament to their diversity that they've rendered everything from Kanye West (listen below) to Ani DiFranco.

Page Six is reporting that bridal designer Gabriella Risatti will knock off 30 copies of the Vivienne Westwood wedding dress that Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) wears in the Sex And The City movie.
You know, the one Carrie wears when she's stood up at the alter. Maybe the dresses will be luckier for other brides.
Oh, and it doesn't even come with the infamous bird-y hairpiece.
