On August 8, 2008 the opening ceremony will kick off the start of the Olympic games in Beijing with more than 10,000 athletes competing from 200 countries. But athletes won't be the only people making memories on 8-8-2008. It's estimated that more than 8,000 couples will tie the knot in China on this day which is traditionally considered lucky in Chinese culture because the date "sounds" like the word for wealth.
