After announcing her engagement to Prince William, Kate Middleton showed off her engagement ring today, which used to belong to William's mother, Princess Diana. [via Gawker]
(via People) It's an engagement three years in the making and Miranda Kerr's family couldn't be happier she'll be tying the knot with Orlando Bloom.
"The entire Kerr family is thrilled with the news," says the model's rep. "It is a very exciting time for both of them."
Kerr, 27, and Bloom, 33, announced Monday they got engaged – after having dodged several wedding rumors since 2007.
Congratulations Miranda & Orlando!
We've been following the former (and future?) first daughter's wedding plans for a while now (see: here, here and here), but details have been sparse. Until now:
New York Magazine and The Huffington Post have some new details about Chelsea Clinton's upcoming wedding to Marc Mezvinsky. The nuptials will reportedly be held July 31--but supposedly not on Martha's Vineyard and instead somewhere in New York:
(via New York Magazine) "The wedding planner will contact each guest directly a week in advance and let them know where it is," says the fund-raiser, who speculated that the Hamptons are out because the L.I.E. can be a very long road. The smart money, then, is somewhere upstate, possibly in Westchester or Dutchess County--most likely on property owned by a Clinton supporter. "You really see who their closest friends are in this list," says an insider. "It's not a celebrity-driven wedding."
(via The Huffington Post) Former DNC chairman Terry McAuliffe may have been helping out with the location's selection. However, the bulk of the wedding planning is being taken on by Massachusetts event planner Bryan Rafanelli, who has been Hillary Clinton's go-to guy. He's also marrying Congressman Anthony Weiner to Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin. According to "bride-side sources" only 400 people will be invited--including donors, campaign, State Department, and Clinton Foundation staff, foreign dignitaries and both Clinton and Obama White House officials, but Chelsea says she must personally know every guest.
(via CNN) Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are engaged for the second time this year. (They called the first one off.) Apparently he re-proposed at Hawaii's Four Seasons Haulalai and witnesses saw her "jumping up and down." Shortly thereafter, "a half dozen staff [were] sifting through the sand" because Megan Fox lost her two-carat engagement ring the same day she got it. Megan's publicist confirms the ring was never recovered. Bad omen for a "second time's the charm" engagement, no?
In any case, congratulations Megan and Brian!
A big congratulations goes out to Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan who wed Saturday afternoon in Malibu, California. The couple first met while starring in the dance flick Step Up in 2006, and they've been together ever since.
Known for their dancing theatrics, Tatum bent Dewan back over his knee for their first kiss as husband and wife. For more details on the ceremony and reception, check out US Weekly's coverage.
