DIY Exfoliants and Wedding Day Beauty Advice

Jun10

Glowing skin and a captivating smile is as simple as drinking water, exfoliating and making time for exercise.

Deadlines at the office, bringing your car in for that oil change, bills to be paid, appointments with wedding vendors… don’t forget organizing the guest list and tastings...

Life is hectic when planning your wedding, but don’t neglect your body!  Make it a priority to drink at least four 8 oz glasses of water each day.  Water flushes out the toxins, hydrates your skin (which is actually the largest organ of your body) and nourishes your mind & body.  Drinking water will ensure your skin is plump and healthy for your makeup artist.  Think of your face as a canvas.  If the canvas is cracked and uneven, the finished product will reflect such.  A smooth, even surface will ensure picture-perfect makeup.

Exfoliating your skin and lips is equally beneficial.  A wet washcloth applied in circular motions is great for the face and a toothbrush with Vaseline brushed on the lips are inexpensive exfoliants.  Making time for a daily, twenty-minute walk is a simple way to exercise.  This effortless task will keep your heart strong and circulate your blood, promising healthy skin, nails, and hair.
