Manhattan Reception Hot Spots!

Jun23

We just posted a new article on New York City reception hot-spots!  It's the latest update to our New York Wedding Guide.

Look for a brand new local wedding guide to be launched soon, plus more articles and updates in all of our current wedding guides, including Los Angeles, the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, and the  San Fransisco Bay Area.

'Rock' Star Suite

Jan29

Like the Guggenheim before it, Rockefeller Center's Top of the Rock has been temporarily transformed into a luxurious hotel suite.  One lucky couple, Ryan and Kelley Pattee, already made the magic happen there, 67 floors up.

Now the public is welcome to take a peek at the "Mile High" honeymoon suite, which boasts a look inspired by 1930's designer Dorothy Draper.

Watch out Vegas!

Jan15

For years now Las Vegas has stood out as the marriage destination capital of the United States.  From lavish receptions held at boisterous and over-the-top hotels to the infamous quickie wedding chapels fronted by Elvis Presley impersonators.

But could Las Vegas be dethroned in the near future? New York City is making a strong push to become the premiere wedding destination with the newly revamped Manhattan Marriage Bureau, which just competed a $12.3 million renovation.  While the 24-hour waiting period is still in effect for New York City (sorry, no quickie weddings here!), city officials are hoping that the building's original marble, sparkling chandeliers, and offer for couples to customize their wedding ceremony will not only bring more weddings to the metropolitan area, but also boost tourism in the city as well.

We think Manhattan would be a lovely place to get married, especially on a pristine snowy day like today!
