Following celebrity weddings and reading glamorous bridal magazines can be a lot of fun, but nothing’s more helpful than learning how real brides plan their big day. With that in mind, meet OWD's Real Brides: real OurWeddingDay.com brides-to-be sharing their experiences every day. It’s not about the “right” way to plan; it’s about each bride planning the wedding that’s right for her.
I ordered my dress this past week and I’m so excited I don’t know how to contain myself. I also ordered my shoes. So that’s a check to attire, shoes (see the picture), and veil.
I’m really struggling with my “headpiece” and I seriously hate that word. It reminds me of those metal head brace retainers that you saw on nerds on 80’s and early 90’s TV sitcoms (think Family Matters). Or the kid Willy Wonka used to be (if you saw the new one).
I’m thinking something similar to a ban.do, but not a band.do. I don’t want a massive flower on the side of my head or a weird feather thing (a la Carrie Bradshaw because that was hideous). But I do want something chic and lovely and unique.
Something like a headband, but orange and with maybe a smaller flower. Or just a very pretty vintage ribbon headband tastefully adorned with …. well with something.
This is what I would really like. Something simple, lovely and unique. But in orange.
Help me dear ones? What should I get, where do I get something this pretty and unique?
In other news, I am about to send out my Save the Dates. Since our wedding is close to Christmas I thought this would be a nice gesture. I made mine myself. I’ll share them with you next week!

Nothing says Hollywood like a sequel!
In a sort of sequel to their recent gallery of fairytail wedding gowns, Eentertainment Weekly has just posted a new list, this time of dresses chosen by their readers.
Check out the high glamour in the fun new photo gallery, from classic films like It Happened One Night through the recent 27 Dresses.
