A few weeks ago the third season of the Golden Globe nominated Dexter, ended with the long awaited wedding between Dexter and Rita. (See our post about it!)
Well, it's just been confirmed that Dexter himself, Michael C. Hall, just got married to his Dexter co-star Jennifer Carpenter. The two have apparently been dating for over a year and a half, and eloped on New Year's Eve. This is the first time their relationship has ever been acknowledged!
Carpenter plays Hall's sister on the show, so it's definitely going to be interesting to see if it changes the way that their characters come across.
This weekend the third season of Showtime's critcally-acclaimed hit Dexter came to an end. Last week we saw Dexter "take care" of his situation with Miguel Prado, which is where most of this seasons' tension had been leading up to. Although still exciting, the season finale was much less stressful than its predecessors.
The shining moment, of course, was Dex's long-awaited marriage to Rita. Although Dex was tied up (literally) and was a little late to the wedding, that didn't stop him from giving Rita exactly what she wanted - "a completely, utterly, honest vow." Dexter's vow was one of the first times that we've seen him be so sincere, "I promise to be the very best husband and father that I can be." It was a perfect moment, completely in the style of the Dexter we've grown to love.
Things are looking good for the Morgans, but based on the drops of blood that fell from Dexter's wound onto Rita's dress, Daddy Dexter will have a whole new kind of challenge ahead of him.
On last night's Bart Bass-centric episode of Gossip Girl, the real-estate mogul was given the ax. The episode centered on his funeral and various characters' reactions to his passing. The most surprising reaction though, came from newcomer Cyrus Rose. He asked Eleanor Waldorf to marry him the next day! With less that a day to prepare for the wedding, little Jenny Humphrey wanted to make amends with Eleanor and offered to design an Yves Saint Laurent inspired wedding blazer for the ceremony.
Of course, insane drama ensued for the rest of of the episode up until (and directly following) the wedding night. The ceremony was small and personal, with just Gossip Girl regulars (Dorota was all glammed up!) in attendance. Even though little Jenny Humphrey's blazer was atrocious, the rest of the wedding was simple and elegant - just like Cyrus.
It's looking like Cyrus will be sticking around for at least a little while longer, which we are in total approval of. Now if only we could get rid of his annoying son, Aaron, so that Dan and Serena can finally get back together...
Check back next week when we give our thoughts on the long-awaited wedding of our favorite psycho, Dexter. Judging from the preview below it will definitely be killer.
