Want to save a little money on your wedding? Consider a city hall marriage! Now, we know there may be some stigma, and stereotypes about weddings in a non-traditional reception/ceremony site but consider the following photos as proof. We now present the adorable wedding of Kelly and Peter, who married last summer in the San Francisco City Hall.

The bride and groom are dressed adorably -- seriously, we could have an entirely separate discussion on the bride's yellow dress in itself!
Have you ever considered a city hall wedding? Skip some the drama and have it be just about the two of you, and your lucky witnesses?

This is our official "adorable of the day." Check out this wedding invitation a designer made to reflect the 8-bit video games from the 1980's. We're a little bit in love.
Check out more photos of the invitation here. This could have only been cuter if it were Mario and the Princess. Not that we played video games or anything....
Oh yeah...

According to Glamour Magazine, there is a specific roasted chicken recipe that, well, helps you get engaged! It all started when an editor at the magazine gave the recipe to an assistant who made the delicious dish for her boyfriend. Within a month, she was engaged! As the recipe was passed around from assistant to assistant, the weddings had been sparked!
Could it be too good to be true? The magazine claims that over 26 engagements (that they know about) relate back to a certain chicken dish that was made in the not-so-distant past. And just this very month a Glamour writer for the popular blog "Smitten" got engaged post-chicken roasting.
So while all of our OurWeddingDay.com brides may already be engaged (congratulations by the way!) surely there are friends out there in relationships who also want to get engaged. And who enjoy roast chicken.
You can find the Engagement Chicken recipe here. Pass it around... and let us test it for ourselves to see if the myth is true. I think I'll be making this dish myself in the next coming weeks!

Okay, let's get one confession out of the way.... the OurWeddingDay.com team loves donuts. Give us a dozen donuts and we'll be happy campers. So you can only imagine the sheer glee we felt when we saw the adorable wedding photos of Robin and Donna. The newly married couple chose to have delicious Dee's MIni Organic Donuts rather than a traditional wedding cake.
What do you think of this move? Are you for switching things up and trying something new for your reception or are you more of a traditionalist?
While you ponder that... we'll take a chocolate glazed donut.

For a little late Thursday afternoon wedding inspiration, check out the adorable Cassie with her pulled back hair and chic yet understated pixie dress. We love how the dress hangs perfectly on her and accentuates her thin frame and blonde hair.
Check out more photos of Cassie and her wedding to Paul here!
Have you ever thought about going the less traditional dress route? The results could be great!

We urge you -- no, no, we insist -- that you check out this Super 8 wedding film with a classic 1970's feel. The couple set out several 8mm video cameras for friends to shoot with and their friend converted the video to digital format to edit the pieces together. The video is warm, loving, and set to a great song.
Check it out here!

So we've all discussed vintage hair styles but perhaps we've glossed over the most important part: the dress! Check out this gorgeous wedding dress Sarah wore on her big day. The lace detailing is stunning and matches perfectly with her simple, chic chignon. What do you think of her dress. Is it too vintage (if that's even possible)? Would you go for something more modern?

This may be one of the most adorable marriage proposals we've seen to date... and trust us, we've seen a lot. Nathan and his friends found a nearby forest with a grove surrounded by trees. During the day, they set up over 200 battery-powered tea lights and struck then all along the trees.
Later that night, Nathan met Katie on the beach to go for a walk. As they approached the woods Nathan tied his sweater over Katie's eyes and brought her to the lit grove. What is even sweeter is that once he uncovered Katie's eyes Nathan stumbled over his proposal because he was so nervous, and Katie simply kept nodding her head yes unable to speak.
Check out both sides of the story here. Ahh romance!

Implementing unexpected dances at weddings has become the hot new thing (see: ubiquitous video of the Minnesota couple dancing down the aisle to Chris Brown). We've seen lots of surprising first dances in our day, but this one takes the cake.
Aaron and Pernel decided to switch it up and break out in a seriously professional-looking swing dance! The bride changed into a shorter dress and put on some swing dancing shoes and the couple took to the floor.
We wholeheartedly approve of spicing up the first dance if that is your style... bring on the unexpected! For more photos from Aaron and Pernel's gorgeous wedding, check out their photographer's blog here.

New York City couple Erin Finnegan and Noah Fulmor recently took to the skies in a specially-equipped Boeing 727, flying thousands of miles above the Gulf of Mexico. The plane flew into what is known as Zero Gravity, in which the plane completed a series of sharp climbs and drops during the hour long flight to sustain the feeling of weightlessness.
However, several things didn't quite go as planned during the ceremony: someone's wedding ring slide off and into the wedding party (not the bride or groom's mind you), the couple nearly missed each other for their first kiss, and the party had trouble coordinating their movements in the weightless environment.
However, perhaps it was all worth it in the words of the groom: "I've waited my whole life for this... what I remember most was the feeling of weightlessness, both physically and emotionally." Check out this article from the Daily Telegarph for more deatails.
