Marc Jacobs got engaged to Lorenzo Martone last April, but word spread this week that the two got married in St. Barts. Pictures circulated of the happy couple wearing a lot of white (Jacobs in a kilt!) standing by what appeared to be a wedding cake with an unusual topper: replicas of the grooms.
But that was just a party, just for fun. A representative for Jacobs explains, "Someone had a party for them, but there was no wedding." He was sure to add that the two are "still engaged."

Jacobs' mainly lives in New York, where same sex marriage is not yet legal, so the couple may marry elsewhere in the country or abroad. When they come home it won't be a problem however, because New York's Gov. David Paterson has told state agencies to recognize same-sex marriages performed in states and countries where they are legal.
Congratualtions to the happy couple! It's safe to assume that Jacobs will make sure they both look great on their big day!
